This is of course not the complete story. Much as in Kerala, the story of the containment of a disease in India is never one without controversial or heavy-handed measures. Karnataka is also seeing a small spike at the moment and cases are doubling faster than in the country on average. But there’s no doubt that if there’s one big city to look at to learn lessons about contact tracing and quarantining — lessons perhaps for the world, and not just India — it is Bangalore.
