Hello and welcome to The Moving Curve. I’m Rukmini, a data journalist based in Chennai. Twice a week on this mini-cast, I consider one question around the novel coronavirus epidemic in India. Tonight I’m considering this one — what can a big survey India conducted in 2019 to understand dengue teach us about covid-19?

A little more about Dr Manoj Murhekar here.

The dengue survey published in The Lancet is here.

What the Mumbai survey can tell us is what we’ll look at in an upcoming episode. But for now, I’m grateful for the institutional knowledge that people like Dr Murhekar bring to understanding the pandemic.

Thank you for listening. This episode was edited by Anand Krishnamoorthi. On the next episode — a new question.
